Hally Winters is a Los Angeles based writer.

Hally Winters is a writer born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Hally graduated from UC Berkeley in English and Creative Writing before earning her Master’s Degree from California Institute of the Arts where she was mentored by Brian Evenson and Janet Sarbanes. While at Calarts she was awarded the CalArts 2023 post-graduate fellowship for her class on California Literature. She was also recently awarded a residency with Sundress Publishing where she finished a novel she is currently querying. She was a finalist for Flash Frog’s “Voice” flash contest, and her work was shortlisted for Fractured Lit’s “Elsewhere Prize”. She is also a member of her local Historical Society and volunteers as a docent at the local museum. She has held many jobs from selling plants at a nursery, working as an In-N-Out cook, teaching, checking electrical plans for photovoltaic systems, and has finally found her niche as a Public Relations Specialist.
